Use cases
Contract management use cases by team
Teams use contract management software to stop agreements from stalling between yes and signed. In Signee, sales sends order forms from the CRM, agencies turn proposals into signed statements of work, SaaS companies track renewals, operations keeps vendor contracts in one place and developers send agreements from their own product.
Master Services Agreement
1. Services. Harbor Analytics provides the services described in each statement of work to Northwind Labs.
2. Fees. The client pays 4,500 USD per month, invoiced monthly in advance, due Net 30.
3. Term. This agreement starts on the effective date and renews automatically unless either party gives notice period missing.
4. Confidentiality. 5. Liability. 6. Data protection.

Pick the team closest to yours
The agreements are different, the problem is the same. Someone copies data by hand, approvals live in email, signers miss a field and nobody owns the renewal date.
Sales teams
Order forms that leave the CRM the day the deal closes
The problem. A rep wins a deal on Tuesday. The order form goes out on Friday, because the customer name, price, term and discount had to be copied from the CRM into a Word file, the discount needed a manager, and the manager answered on Thursday. Every day between verbal yes and signature is a day the buyer can change their mind or their budget.
How Signee solves it. On Business and Company plans the order form template pulls fields straight from the HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce deal. Approval rules check the numbers before anything is sent: a discount above your threshold goes to the head of sales, a contract above a set value goes to finance, and an edited liability clause goes to legal. Everyone else sends without asking. Our page on contract workflow software shows how the rules are set up.
Example. A 40 person analytics company closes a 72,000 USD deal with an 18 percent discount. The rep clicks generate on the deal, Signee fills the order form, routes it to the head of sales because of the discount, and sends it to the buyer and their CFO in order. It is signed the next morning, the CRM stage moves to closed won and the renewal date is already in the calendar.

Agencies and consultancies
From proposal to signed SOW without rewriting anything
An agency writes the same scope three times. Once in the proposal, once in the statement of work, once more when the retainer renews. Signee keeps one record that changes shape as the deal moves.
| Item | Qty | USD |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery and site map | 1 | 4,800 |
| Design system and 12 page templates | 1 | 14,500 |
| Content migration optional | 1 | 3,200 |
| Monthly care plan optional | 12 | 650 |
The problem
Proposals live in one tool, contracts in another and signed PDFs in a shared drive. The client picks two of four optional items, and someone has to retype the final scope and price into the SOW by hand, hoping nothing slips.
How Signee solves it
The proposal has a pricing table with optional items. When the client accepts, the selected items, totals and dates flow into the services agreement and it goes out for signature in the same step. Read more about proposal software that ends in a contract.
Example
A design studio proposes a website rebuild with a monthly care plan as an option. The client ticks the care plan, accepts, and signs the SOW on the same page. Eleven months later Signee reminds the studio that the care plan is up for renewal.

SaaS companies
Subscription agreements, DPAs and renewals in one place
The problem. A SaaS company signs three documents with most customers: a subscription agreement, a data processing agreement and an order form. Each has dates that matter. Auto renewal with 60 days notice, a price increase cap, a service level commitment. Those dates usually live in a spreadsheet that one person updates when they remember.
How Signee solves it. After signature Signee reads the agreement and extracts the start date, end date, renewal type and notice deadline into a renewal pipeline. Account owners get an email before each notice date, so renewal conversations start on time instead of the week a customer churns. The contract renewal tracking page covers the alert settings in detail.
Example. A customer success lead opens the renewals view on Monday and sees four customers with notice dates in the next 60 days and one inside two weeks. She starts that conversation the same day, with the signed agreement and its price terms one click away.
Operations and finance
Know what every vendor contract commits you to
The problem. Operations and finance managers inherit contracts they did not negotiate. Software subscriptions, payroll services, hosting, office leases, agency retainers. The real risk is not the contract you can see, it is the one that auto renews for another year at a higher price because the notice window closed while nobody was looking.
How Signee solves it. Every signed agreement lands in a searchable repository. Signee extracts parties, value, payment terms, service levels and key dates, so you can answer questions like which contracts renew in the next quarter or which vendors bill net 15. On the Company plan you can import existing signed contracts and Signee extracts the same terms from them.
Example. A finance manager at a 90 person company imports 140 vendor contracts in her first week. Signee flags an office lease addendum with a notice deadline nine days away. She sends notice on time and renegotiates the rent instead of rolling over automatically.
| Agreement | Type | Key date |
|---|---|---|
| Harbor Analytics MSA | Customer | Nov 14, 2026 |
| Brightline payroll services | Vendor | Jan 31, 2027 |
| Acme Retail order form | Customer | Dec 1, 2026 |
| Kestrel design SOW 4 | Supplier | Mar 3, 2027 |
Find any clause
Search by counterparty, type, value or the words in the agreement, and filter by renewal type or notice window.
Alerts that reach the owner
Each agreement has an owner. Alerts go to that person by email before notice and renewal dates.
Obligations at a glance
Payment terms, service levels and deliverables extracted after signing, so you do not reread a PDF to check what was agreed.
Developers
Send agreements from your own product
The problem. A marketplace, a lending tool or an HR platform needs users to sign terms, offers or service agreements inside the product. Building signing, audit trails and PDF sealing in house takes months and becomes a compliance project of its own.
How Signee solves it. The API creates an agreement from one of your templates with variables from your database, sends it to the right signers and posts a webhook when it is viewed, signed or declined. You keep your own interface and Signee handles signing, sealing and the audit trail. API access starts on the Business plan with 1,000 calls per day.
Example. An HR platform generates an offer letter when a hiring manager approves a candidate. The candidate signs on their phone, the webhook marks the offer accepted, and the signed PDF is stored against the employee record without anyone downloading a file.
