Renewals
Contract renewal tracking that never misses a notice date
Contract renewal tracking means knowing, for every signed agreement, when it ends, whether it renews by itself and the last day you can give notice. Signee reads those dates from each signed contract, shows them in one renewal pipeline and emails the owner before every notice deadline, so a renewal is a decision rather than an accident.
- End date, renewal and notice read for you
- Email alerts before each deadline
- One pipeline for customer and vendor contracts
- Owner assigned to every renewal

Why renewals get missed
An auto renewing contract usually lets you cancel only within a window, for example no later than 60 days before the end of the term. Miss that window by a day and the contract renews for another full year at the same price, or at a higher one if the vendor added an increase clause. On the sales side, a customer contract that nobody watches is a renewal conversation that starts too late.
The dates exist. They are in clause 9 of a PDF in someone's inbox, or in a spreadsheet that was last updated by a person who left. Renewal tracking works only when the dates are captured at the moment of signing and reminders go to a named owner, not to a shared mailbox nobody reads.
Signee does exactly that. When the last signer finishes, it reads the term, renewal and notice clauses and adds the agreement to the renewal pipeline. You confirm the dates with one click, assign an owner, and alerts start on their own.
| Agreement | Type | Key date |
|---|---|---|
| Harbor Analytics MSA | Customer | Nov 14, 2026 |
| Brightline payroll services | Vendor | Jan 31, 2027 |
| Acme Retail order form | Customer | Dec 1, 2026 |
| Kestrel design SOW 4 | Supplier | Mar 3, 2027 |
What you get
Renewal management built into the contract
The renewal date comes from the agreement itself, so it stays right when the agreement changes.
Dates read from the contract
End date, renewal type, renewal length and notice period are taken from the signed agreement and shown with the clause they came from.
Alerts before the deadline
Email alerts go to the owner ahead of the notice date, with a repeat reminder if nothing has been decided. Every plan.
Renewal pipeline
Business and Company show every upcoming renewal in one list with value, days left and status, for customer and vendor contracts alike.
Owner on every renewal
Each agreement has a person responsible. When someone leaves, their renewals move to a new owner instead of going silent.
Imported contracts too
On Company, upload up to 500 existing contracts a month and Signee extracts their dates, so old agreements join the same pipeline.
Obligations, not only dates
Business and Company also pull out payment terms, price increase rules and other obligations you need to act on.
- Nov 14, 2025 Agreement signed, term 12 months Signee, hash 23ddfeb970f4
- Nov 14, 2025 Notice period 60 days read from clause 9 Signee, hash 0ddfad2c4dd9
- Aug 15, 2026 First alert sent to owner Signee, hash 91b1c60b2d8b
- Sep 12, 2026 Renewal decision, renegotiate price Maya Chen, hash 734d140edd5f
- Sep 15, 2026 Notice letter sent for signature Maya Chen, hash c9bbdfda0c04
Each event stores the hash of the previous one. Any change after sealing breaks the chain and shows on the certificate.
From alert to action
An alert is only useful if acting on it is easy. From the renewal pipeline you can open the agreement, start a renewal or an amendment from the original variables, or prepare a notice letter and send it for signature, all with the history attached.
Renewal tracking is the part of contract repository software that looks forward instead of back. Together with obligations and approvals it forms AI contract management, where the contract keeps working after it is signed.
If you are choosing a system for the whole team, compare it with what a full contract management system should offer: search, permissions, retention and reporting next to renewals.
How it works
Track renewals without a spreadsheet
-
1
Sign or import
Send agreements through Signee, or upload existing contracts on the Company plan.
-
2
Confirm the dates
Check the end date, renewal rule and notice period Signee read, and correct any of them in one click.
-
3
Assign an owner
Pick who decides on the renewal. Alerts go to that person, with a copy to the team if you want.
-
4
Decide in time
Renew, renegotiate or give notice before the deadline, with the agreement and its history on one screen.
