Proposals

Proposal software that turns into a signed contract

Proposal software lets you build a sales proposal with scope, pricing and terms, send it to the client and collect acceptance online. In Signee the proposal has a pricing table with optional items, goes through your internal approvals, and when the client accepts, it becomes the signed contract with its renewal date tracked.

  • Pricing tables with optional items
  • Client picks options before signing
  • Approval rules for discounts
  • Accepted proposal becomes the contract

The proposal and the contract are the same document

In many teams a proposal is a designed PDF, and once the client says yes, someone rebuilds the same scope and price in a separate contract. That second document is where mistakes appear: a line item drops out, an optional service the client ticked is missing, or the payment terms differ from what sales promised.

Signee keeps one source. The proposal is built from a template with variables, the client selects optional items, and on acceptance the selected lines, totals and terms flow into the services agreement that both sides sign. It is contract management software first, so the proposal is simply the first stage of the agreement rather than a separate file.

Templates, variables and CRM fields are the same ones used by our document assembly software, so a proposal and an order form for the same client never disagree on the company name, address or price.

What you get

Built for proposals that end in a signature

Every feature below is about getting from a sent proposal to a signed agreement with fewer steps.

Pricing tables

Line items with quantity and price, recurring and one time fees, and a total that updates as the client selects options.

Optional items

Mark services as optional. The client ticks what they want, and only the selected lines move into the contract.

Draft from one sentence

Describe the engagement and let AI draft the scope and terms, then adjust the wording before sending.

Discount approvals

If a rep lowers a price below your limit, the proposal goes to an approver before the client ever sees it.

Accept and sign

The client accepts and signs in the browser. No account, no app, and the signed PDF carries the audit trail certificate.

Retainers tracked

Recurring services get a renewal date and notice deadline, with email alerts before the retainer renews.

How it works

From first draft to signed scope

  1. 1

    Build

Pick a proposal template, pull the client and deal from your CRM, or draft from one sentence.

  2. 2

    Price

Add line items and optional services. Discounts beyond your rule go to approval.

  3. 3

    Send

The client receives a link, compares options and selects what they want.

  4. 4

    Accept

Accepting turns the proposal into the agreement, which both sides sign in order.

Signing works the same way as every other agreement in Signee: signing order, reminders, expiry dates and a check for missing fields before anything is sent. The electronic signature software page covers the signing side and the audit trail in detail.

Who uses proposals in Signee

Agencies and consultancies

Every new client gets a proposal, then a statement of work, then a retainer that renews. In Signee that is one thread: the proposal becomes the SOW, and the retainer renewal appears in the renewals view months later with the notice deadline.

B2B sales teams

Reps build proposals from the CRM deal, managers approve discounts by rule, and accepted proposals update the deal stage. Sales leaders see what is out, what is accepted and what is waiting for an approver.

Service businesses with recurring work

Maintenance, managed services and support contracts often renew quietly. Because the proposal is the contract, the renewal date is captured at signature instead of being typed in later.

Plans and how this compares

Proposals with pricing tables, CRM data merge from HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce, and discount approvals are included in the Business plan: 149 USD a month, or 74 USD a month billed yearly, for 10 users and 150 documents sent per month. Company adds 30 users, bulk send and SSO for 499 USD a month, or 249 USD billed yearly. Users are included in the plan price rather than charged per seat.

If you are weighing a dedicated proposal tool, our PandaDoc alternative page compares the two honestly, including where a design focused proposal editor is the better fit. Signee is the stronger choice when the proposal must become a contract you keep track of after signature.

Proposal software questions

Can the client choose between options
Yes. Mark line items as optional and the client selects them before accepting. The total updates and only selected items move into the contract.
Does the client need an account to accept
No. The client opens the proposal from an email link, reviews it, accepts and signs in the browser on any device.
Can I pull deal data from my CRM
On Business and Company you can connect HubSpot, Pipedrive or Salesforce by OAuth and merge deal and company fields into the proposal. CSV import works for other sources.
What if a rep gives too big a discount
Set an approval rule for discounts above your limit. The proposal goes to the approver first and cannot be sent until it is approved.
Is a proposal counted as a sent document
Yes. Sending a proposal for acceptance counts toward the documents sent in your monthly plan, and deleting it later does not return the quota.
Which plan includes proposals
Proposals with pricing tables and optional items are included in Business and Company. Starter covers drafting, templates and signatures for a small team.
